Dann joined Entegris in 2022 as part of the acquisition of CMC Materials which created a comprehensive portfolio of CMP solutions for Entegris. In September 2023, he became president of the company’s Materials Solutions (MS) division that resulted from the combination of the Specialty Chemicals and Engineered Materials (SCEM) division and Advanced Planarization Solutions (APS), a division announced upon the close of the CMC Materials acquisition.
As president of MS, Dann is responsible for driving the strategy for delivering full end-to-end materials solutions for the company’s customers.
Previously he served as a senior vice president and the president of Entegris’ APS division.
Prior to joining Entegris, he served as CMC Materials’ vice president and president, Electronic Materials since November 2018. Earlier, Dr. Woodland served as vice president and chief marketing and operations officer beginning in October 2017. Starting in January 2015, he was vice president of marketing. He served in various product line, marketing, and research and development leadership roles after joining Cabot Microelectronics in 2003. Previously, Dann held management roles at OMNOVA Solutions, a global manufacturer of polymers, specialty chemicals, and functional and decorative surfaces.
Dann received a bachelor's in physics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Maine.
