-
Why is Entegris making this acquisition?
Entegris purchased SAES Pure Gas to expand the value of its gas purification product portfolio, and in particular, its molecular contamination purification capabilities. Purification capabilities play an increasingly critical role in semiconductor manufacturing as shrinking geometries and multi-layering are significantly increasing gas consumption per processed wafer. With this acquisition, Entegris will be able to provide a complete portfolio of gas purifications solutions for both bulk and specialty gases, helping to solve our customers' most complex manufacturing challenges.
-
Where will this business sit within the Entegris corporate structure?
SAES Pure Gas will report into the Microcontamination Control division and will be integrated into the Gas Microcontamination Control (GMC) Business Unit along with the Entegris gas purification and filtration products.
